How to make an Acrylic painting of Cute penguin family 

Hello friends , I made a beautiful Acrylic painting of Cute penguin family in ice background. It’s very easy If you are interested to make it then follow these steps - 

Cute penguin acrylic painting

Step 1 - ( Required Materials )

• Acrylic paint ( blue , white , black , orange , lemon yellow)
• Tray for mixing colour 
• Canvas sheet or canvas paper Make canvas sheet at home ( very low cost ) click here
• Big flate brush and brush set
• Gesso Make Gesso at home (very low cost ) click here
• Flow improver and water
• Tissue paper or small cotton clothes and water jug ( to wash brush )
• Easel or clipboard and tape roll or stapler 

Step 2 - ( Basic preparation for painting )

• First of all take a canvas sheet or paper and attach it on easel or clipboard so that canvas sheet doesn’t move while making the painting. 
• Now spread small amount of water on canvas sheet or paper using big flate brush.
• Now take some amount of gesso and spread over canvas sheet or paper using big flate brush. It’s very important to get shiny look in your painting.

Step 3 - ( Make background )

• Take blue and white colour in tray and mix according to use and spread over canvas sheet ( see in picture )
• Clearly see in picture and use your senses for blending colours 
• You can use water ( not more than 30 % ) or flow improver to make thin the paint. 
• You can use retarder for easily blending the colours on canvas. 

Step 4 - ( Make sketch and paint it )

• Now make sketch of penguin family. As have been shown in picture 
• Now first of all take black colour and fill into parents penguin’s flipper , back , head , bill , feet and tail. Body parts name of penguin are shown in picture. 
• Choose brush according to size of body parts of your penguin. Like as use a liner or small size round brush to paint bill ( beak ) , tail hair and feet , use flate and angle brush to paint neck , back , head and flipper. 
• While painting , take special care of the pressure on the brush and keep the pressure low as per usage. 
• Now paint a mixture of blue , black and white from penguin’s neck to back and flipper with very light hands using angle brush.  
• Make tail hair using liner brush. Also make grey inner part of side flipper of father penguin and eyes of penguin. 
• Now take white colour and spread over belly and use very light orange colour on front part of belly and spread very lightly. 
• Now make very light line of orange and yellow colour on belly to show flipper different from belly . 
• Now spread yellow in such a way that the yellowness from neck to stomach becomes darker and lighter. Use orange in beak and head. 
• Baby penguin is waiting so let’s  start . Now take grey colour and paint baby. Make hair on belly and neck of baby. Also make head , face ,beak and feet of baby ( see in picture )

Step 5 - ( Final finishing )       

• Your painting is almost complete only background finishing is left so we make ice in  background using white colour by foam. 
• In final step make shade of penguin on ice using black and blue colour.
